Sprint Premier Connection – September 2008
filed in advertising on Sep.18, 2008
Amazing. I just got our copy of the “Sprint Premier Connection” for September 2008. Inside the front cover it says
“Happy Anniversary! You’ve been with us for 10 years. So special Sprint Premier anniversary rewards are coming your way – turn this page to see.”
Wow, now we can get a new phone every 12 months instead of 22 months – I can’t wait! only 10 more months before I can dump this Instinct for a real phone without paying through the nose.
Thumbing further into this progaganda –
- on page 6, the headline reads “Our devices keep super moms organized.” Of course, they are talking about the FUSIC – NOT the Instinct.
- on page 10, the headline reads “Get more of the real Internet to go.” Here they show a Palm Centro – NOT the Instinct.
- on the bottom of page 10, it says

I tried that yesterday, I have yet to get the validation e-mail supposedly sent by the sign up process.
- pages 11 & 12 are all about NFL Mobile Live. I guess it’s getting better, so far all I have gotten is a message like “Check back next week for this feature.” Maybe by the time the playoffs are here it will be useful – at least there will be fewer games for them to keep up with, lol.
Page 13 & 14 really take the cake though.
- on page 13, the headline reads “The Samsung Instinct upsets the applecart.” and goes into a lather about how the iPhone has “No live TV, voice guided GPS or shoot-and-send-video?” and then a jab at AT&T by claiming to save you $50/month over a comparable plan.
-
Page 14 reads “The Instinct wows customers across the country.” and “Mom tested, mom approved.” There is a quote from Mary Brooker of Overland Park, KS saying
This is the best phone. I’m impressed with Sprint and think everyone should buy the Instinct.
I wonder how much she got paid to say that!? No seriously, it did “wow” me into wondering how in the hell I got sucked into the hype of this phone. I really have to go puke now.
