My Instinct Was Wrong? Right!

One small mistake by man, one giant mess for mankind (and Mother Nature!)

Obama says the Federal Government will use all means at their disposal to “make BP pay”.

That sounds good, but I think the government’s track record as shown by the handling of the Exxon Valdez incident speaks for itself.

Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News had a piece last week where they revisited Valdez, Alaska – I can’t find a link to it at the moment, but I remember everything looking fine – until the reporter picked up a rock and found oil underneath.

Exxon was able to drag things out for over 20 years and so far has gotten off easy – the lawyers however are making a killing I suspect.
